Herizons FAQ
What does it take to join Herizons?
Just send us an email with your full name and email address you would like us to use for correspondence, or you can come into The Colorado Running Company and fill out a short membership form. Herizons is free and open to all women of all different ages, levels and abilities.
I'm a beginning runner, is there anyone who runs at
my pace or at my level?
We have women of all levels and paces with us on our runs. However, in the instance that there is not someone out there that day who is your pace, we find it motivational just to know there are other women out there with you. We are always looking for more of a diverse skill level so we can continue to grow our group and hopefully always have a good variety of paces.
What pace do you run at?
Our runners' paces vary from 7:30 minute mile pace all the way up to 15 minute mile pace or more, depending on the run and the group that day.
Do I have to sign up for the runs?
No, all of our runs are free and open to whoever wants to join us that day. Just show up... either Jillian or Beth or both will be at the runs at all times. If for some reason we cannot host a run, we will post it on the site, send out an email or both.
Do I have to sign up for the events?
No, but usually we would like an RSVP of some sort so we know how many refreshments we'll need. All of our events are free, fun and informative, and there is always some sort of one-night special just for Herizons ladies at the store.
Can I bring a baby jogger/stroller?
Depends on where we are running. Runs from The Colorado Running Company are stroller-friendly, however runs through Red Rock Canyon, Ute Valley Park, Palmer Park, the Incline, North Cheyenne Canyon Park and some of the Garden of the Gods runs are non-stroller runs.
What is your schedule?
All of our runs and events are always posted on the home page of this site. Currently, our only scheduled runs are Wednesday evenings at 6pm and First Saturday mornings at 7:30am.
